Now, back to what I was saying. In an attempt to dazzle those who have paid accounts with toys, the hamsters at LJ introduced a goofy new feature, the Friend of Friends. As hamster Brad Fitzpatrick explains, "There's now a 'friends of friends' view in addition to your 'friends' view. The friends of friends view shows you people that are friends of your friends, but are not also your friends. It's a good way to discover new interesting people." How this will keep LJ from crashing and/or eating my posts every other day wasn't explained. But they do have new servers -- somewhere...
