Washington intersects Hollywood in the damnedest of places...

What is interesting about this Marvel Comic isn't the subject (which is "True Tales of GIs in Iraq"), but who wrote it -- Karl Zinsmeister. If you don't know who he is, he's now running the domestic policy shop for Bush. He replaces Claude Allen, who had been busted for shoplifting. Of course, his job will be to paint cheery colors on a lame story, so in reality it hasn't changed much at all. (credit: Bruce Reed, "The Has Been", Slate)
