The Line is Back.

Well, according to my net connection monitoring software, my broadband internet returned to service at 10:30am. That means that Cox has set a record -- eight and one-half hours of service downtime. This bodes ill for us in the Fairfax County market. Road Runner's longest system downtime was six hours, several months back (check the archives). But Road Runner did acknowledge system downtimes on its tech support pages, which Cox has failed to do.

It could be worse, though. Dave Hughes told me that Comcast doesn't even have a page telling you of system outages.
