Yahoo has foisted the beta to version 7 of its messaging client out onto the world. They're going to attempt to take on Skype and internet telephony in general. How they're going to manage to do this, when they have yet to master the simple task of sending text across the internet without killing my machine remains to be seen. If it can starve a machine running with 512MB of memory and a 1.8GHz processor sending nothing but text, how can they even hope to send sound data? My case against Yahoo Messenger still stands.

After becoming annoyed with the Beta version of Yahell about 6 months ago,
I just installed it and went back to Version 5.6.0 1358.

It's been working fine. The only thing is when you log on, some pesty window comes up and says that Yahoo doesn't support this version any longer and do I want to log on? YES, I do!

I don't need the newer cutesy smilies, and I could care less about stocks...and all the frills.

I have Windows XP and so far, it's been OK with this version.

Sound works fine too.

That Beta crappy version is full of ads and who knows what else.

That should have said..."I just UNINSTALLED it."
