New Year's Resolutions #5, #6 and #7...

#5 This is an obscure journal. That means it takes work for someone to find it. Therefore, if someone puts it on their Friend List or somehow it gets listed in someone's blarghroll, try to get to know that person and what about the journal they found interesting enough to keep a bookmark somewhere. Especially if (a) you wind up on an outside link rolodex or (b) you are friended by someone on LJ who you can't find on your friends list or on your friends' friends list. (Shadesong and Yendi I have to excempt because, as Shade says on her bio page, she is the Kevin Bacon of LJ.)

For example, girlvii just friended me sometime in the past year. If you're reading this, drop a line if you wish...

To make this journal more accessible, I may turn off screening of anonymous comments (meaning they won't be hidden until I get around to checking my journal, but rather they will show up the instant it is submitted). However, if I get too many comments like this, the screeners come back!

Of course, if you don't have an LJ account, you have to leave a comment as anonymous. But that doesn't mean you can't leave a shout out to your homepage, blargh, or whatever you have at your little slice of the internet. Just don't make it the entire point of your post, like the fellow above has done.

#6 Make use of LJ Cut (the "click here to read more" function).

#7 Find some more user icons, and use them more frequently... You need variety
