Car wreck leaves Bush disoriented, confused.

Continuing on the analogy I started earlier this week when I stated that this story is now a runaway car which Bush has lost control of and is skidding out of control.

Well, the car has now crashed into a tree, giving our president apparant head injuries.

How else can you square away this statement?
The larger point is, and the fundamental question is, did Saddam Hussein have a weapons program? And the answer is, absolutely. And we gave him a chance to allow the inspectors in, and he wouldn't let them in.

The only thing contradicting Bush here is reality...

You can quibble with the specifics all you want. Saddam wasn't very cooperative... He was incredibly shifty... He wasn't completely honest when we had him on the witness stand, but Hans Blix and the UN crew were running around Iraq for several months. This was even a contention of debate...should we let the inspectors have more time to look in Iraq.

The Washington Press Corps don't even know how to deal with this...
