Lost revenues, thanks to the sniper.

As a addendum to this article, my contact in the hospitality industry tells me that hotels across the region lost $2.4 million in revenue (8,000 rooms over a three day weekend were reserved by them) due to reservation cancellations by junior sports leagues.

(I know I sound cold about this, but in addition to my physical safety, this person is jeopardizing my economic security.)
