Unanswered Questions in One Hour Photo

Saturday, I saw One Hour Photo. It was a very unsettling movie, mostly because you can imagine that if Robin Williams didn't make it big in Hollywood, he'd end up being a Sy Parrish, desperately seeking love from strangers who'd rather not want to have anything to do with him. Of course there were some oddities in the movie.

Why would a photo developer need the home addresses of his customers for photo development purposes. If the customer forgets to pick up his pictures, wouldn't a phone number suffice?

Who took the picture that set Sy over the edge? The principals in the photo are too involved to have taken the picture themselves, and unless the principals are exhibitionists, that's not a picture that would get taken.
