On my way to Springfield Mall to pick up my expensive bus pass, I saw a caravan of motorcycles drive down the Beltway. It was a rather long caravan, as the entrance ramp to the Beltway from Little River Turnpike was closed for at least 10 minutes (I arrived there in the middle of the progression). They were on their way to either the Pentagon, or New York City. (There were two motorcycle groups in the region. One was doing something in the Pentagon-Pentagon City-Crystal City corridor. The other was headed up to Manhattan.)

In Springfield Mall, the Redskins Cheerleaders were there to inaugurate a new Redskin Merchandise Store by giving away free hats with their signature. My detective of a father deduced that the signatures were indeed from women — they gave themselves away by dotting the 'I' with a heart! He's right. No football player (except maybe Deion Sanders — "Everyone [heart] Deion!") would ever dot an 'I' with a heart!

It's fun to go to a mall with actual stores with a change.
